From high-level soccer player to overwhelmed dad, my journey wasn't always about fitness.

Nine years in a stressful retail job left me burned out, unhealthy, and disconnected from myself. Even after transitioning to a corporate role, new parenthood brought a wave of challenges: poor sleep, desk-bound days, and a growing 'dad bod' that left me feeling lost and distant from my wife, Rachel. Hiring a coach and prioritizing my well-being was a game-changer – a tough but rewarding experience that showed me the power of self-care, not as selfishness, but as a crucial step toward becoming the best version of myself for my family. Witnessing Rachel's parallel transformation fuelled our shared passion to help other busy parents reclaim their health and rediscover their strength. Now, as co-founders of Strong Fams, Rachel and I are driven to empower families worldwide by equipping parents with the tools and support they need to thrive.

My journey to becoming a health and fitness coach wasn't a linear one. From a young age, I struggled with weight and yo-yo dieting, experiencing the emotional toll of body image issues and the frustration of temporary results.

Even after achieving weight loss, underlying health challenges like chronic fatigue and hormonal imbalances persisted. Motherhood brought new layers of complexity, highlighting the need for sustainable practices that balanced self-care with family demands.

My personal transformation, including overcoming fertility challenges and achieving strong & healthy pregnancies, fuelled my passion to empower other mothers and parents.

As a co-founder of Strong Fams, I blend my lived experience with evidence-based knowledge to guide families toward lasting health and well-being, proving that a thriving parent creates a thriving family

Do I need any prior fitness experience to start?

Not at all! Our personal training is tailored to all fitness levels, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced athlete looking to refine your training.

How long are the training sessions?

Sessions typically last around 45 minutes.

What happens during a typical session?

After your initial goal setting consult, your coach writes you a personalised program to follow.

Each session is designed specifically for you. It might include a mix of warm-ups, strength training, cardio, mobility exercises. Your trainer will ensure every session aligns with your goals. Programs are tracked & measures every session and updated every 4-6 weeks depending on progression & improvements.

How many sessions/week should I do to get best results?

This depends on your goals, budgets availability. The more you see your coach, the more accountability & support you will recieve however most clients train 2 times per week and get amazing results. No matter what, we can work together create a plan that fits your schedule and complements any workouts you do independently.

Can I bring my baby/kids to my training sessions?

We encourage you to try & train child free so you are not distracted and get the most out of your session however we understand this may not always be possible, so yes, you’re welcome to bring your kids if you have to! We understand how challenging it can be to prioritize your health as a parent, so we aim to create a family-friendly environment . However, please note that you are responsible for their health and welfare at all times during the session. Let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Are meal plans included? What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Yes! All of our 1:1 coaching clients receive many examples of flexible meal plans designed to fit your goals, preferences, and lifestyle. We create meal plans tailored to your needs, accommodating dietary restrictions, food allergies, and personal preferences.

Do I have to track/count calories?

You don't HAVE to do anything you're not comfortable doing - however if possible we'd love to show you how calorie counting can be an empowering tool (when used correctly).

But, whilst calorie tracking can be a helpful tool for some, it’s not required.

We’ll work with you to find an approach that fits your lifestyle and preferences, whether that’s tracking, mindful eating, portion control, or another method. The goal is to create sustainable habits that lead to long-term success.
